About the Artist

Fused glass is the technique of joining two or more pieces of glass with high temperatures in a kiln. After creating the design, I cut the glass, grind and smooth the edges prior to putting it into the kiln. Varied temperatures produce varying results. It’s always exciting to open the kiln 24 hours later to see the final creation! Sometimes several firings are required as I add layers to create the desired outcome.

As I have created my fused glass I realize the beauty I experience in nature provides inspiration for my work. I find great fulfillment when creating and believe that no matter how simple or intricate our creations we can feel a great sense of accomplishment.

I have worked with many mediums over the years but love the beauty of glass fusing. As I have continued in this field, I have combined other mediums and love the results!

I am so grateful for my husband, Corey who brings to fruition many of my aspirations with his wood and metal expertise. Mostly he is my best cheerleader and great at critiquing my work to create the finest results.
