Poll Haven is Locke's first published work.
C. Locke Marshall was born and raised in the rolling ranch country of south-western Alberta where the prairie sweeps dramatically into the Rocky Mountains. He continues to make his home and raise a family there. Locke is an avid reader and amateur musician. His parents engendered in him and his sister a love of all types of literature and music.
Locke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and works as a park manager in Waterton Lakes National Park, next door to his hometown hamlet of Mountain View. He lived the bulk of his life in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and loves the wild windy prairies and mountain interface that makes the place unique. He has worked in various capacities including work as a presenter and guide to nature and culture in the area.
Locke's other interests include outdoor recreation such as horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, and wildlife viewing. He has had the benefit of growing up in a musical household and enjoys singing and playing music with friends and family.
